Consult your personal physician for any other medical requirements before visiting Tanzania. Tanzania offers tropical type of climate in the Tanzanian mainland whereas the coastal areas are hot and humid. The climate of the north-western highlands is cool and temperate. There are two rainy seasons one is a short season of rains are generally from October to December, and the other is the long season of rains lasting from March to June. However the central plateau tends to be dry and arid throughout the year.
